New Sign

We finally had a road-side sign made up for the front of our bed and breakfast. Tina from Image 360 did a creative job on the logo and Mortenson Sign Co. made a sturdy sign. Mike did the installation and Theresa took pictures and directed. When you dig a 2 ft. deep hole, you really find out what kind of ground you have. Up here on Pleasant Ridge there is about a foot of topsoil if you’re lucky, and then it’s hard-pan clay with lots of rocks, probably about the most difficult type of ground to dig in. Then to top it off, it rained so much in the fall, the ground was saturated. Soon after you dug, it filled up with water from seepage so I had to scoop the water out with a coffee can before I could set the post and pour the concrete. It turned out great, and we immediately started getting positive feedback from friends and neighbors. A good sign out front just seems to make a business seem more professional. Or, as one of our neighbors said: “I notice you hung your shingle out front”. Yes, we did neighbor. Come on down and sit a spell. Try some of Theresa’s ice cold, fresh squeezed lemon aide, and to-die-for chocolate chip cookies. Life is good, share it with friends!
